Hyderabad (Telangana) [India], July 17 (ANI): A liver transplant was successfully performed on a 3-year-old boy named Chohan Aditya by the doctors at Osmania General Hospital, Hyderabad.
The 3-year-old had been suffering from liver problems since birth. His mother has donated liver for the child.
“The best health services are being provided in state government hospitals. At Osmania General Hospital, already 30 people, including eight children, have successfully undergone liver transplantation. Recently, 3-year-old Chohan Aditya, son of Modugu Gunasekhar and Amala of Kondavanamala village of Konijarla mandal of Khammam district, underwent liver transplantation,” a statement issued by the Telangana Chief Minister’s office said.
According to the official release, the 3-year-old had been suffering from gall bladder and liver problems since birth. A surgical gastroenterology and liver transplant team led by Dr. Madhusudan examined Chohan Aditya and successfully completed the liver transplant treatment for Aditya at Osmania General Hospital on July 3.
