Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], July 11 (ANI): Maharashtra Governor Ramesh Bais has approved the state government’s proposal for the Wainganga-Nalganga River linking project of Vidarbha on Wednesday.
“Maharashtra Governor Ramesh Bais has accorded in-principle approval to the state government’s proposal of Wainganga-Nalganga River linking project of Vidarbha,” reads the official letter.
Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis thanked the Governor for the approval of this nearly Rs 80,000 crore project.
In a post on X, Devendra Fadnavis said, “On 9th July, I had a meeting with Governor Ramesh Bais ji. Today he has approved the proposal. I am very grateful to him. This project of around 80,000 crores will change the picture of irrigation in Vidarbha.
