Doda (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], July 13 (ANI): Two people were killed and four were critically injured after a bus travelling from Bhalessa to Thathri skidded off the road and plunged into a 200-foot-deep gorge in Jammu and Kashmir, said officials.
As many as nine people have been admitted to GMC (Government Medical College) Doda, said officials.
However, the exact cause of what caused the accident has not been ascertained yet but apparently the reason was a malfunction in the bus, said officials.

“Two people were killed in the accident. Four were critically injured and five others were referred to the hospital. We have referred a total of nine people to the GMC, Doda. The reason for the accident seems to be a malfunction in the bus,” said Harvinder Singh, Deputy Commissioner Doda.
“The driver tried his best to avoid the accident. We appreciate his efforts. However, we lost two lives in the accident. A total of 26 people were injured, including 2 children. We have referred serious patients to GMC Doda…” Singh added.
More details on the matter are awaited. (ANI)
