New Delhi [India], September 26 (ANI): BJP leader Pradeep Bhandari on Thursday attacked Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren over his remark on Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, where he labelled RSS workers as ‘chooha’ (rats) and said that the Jharkhand CM has “lost his mind.”
“Hemant Soren has lost his mind because, after coming out of jail, he did a survey on the ground through his workers, and he understood that he was losing the election,” Bhandari said.
The BJP leader claimed that the tribal population in Santhal Pargana has reportedly decreased as illegal Rohingyas and infiltrators have captured the lands of tribals.
“The whole country knows that in Santhal Pargana, earlier the tribal population used to be more than 35 per cent and today it has come down to 20-22 per cent, as per so many reports, illegal Rohingyas and infiltrators have captured the lands of tribals, but to promote his votebank, Hemant Soren is not talking about tribals,” he said.
This comes after, Jharkhand CM Soren, while addressing a rally on September 25 in Jharkhand, said that the people of RSS will enter Jharkhand like ‘chooha’ (rats) and break our society.
He further dismissed allegations made by BJP leaders of demographic change in Jharkhand, suggesting the BJP look into the data of neighbouring West Bengal.
“Assam CM comes to Jharkhand and criticises the state’s people and state government…We will give a befitting reply…They will talk about changing demography and Bangladeshi infiltrators. I would like to tell them to look at the data of the Government of India to determine how the numbers have changed in which district and which state. Go and see what the data is in Bengal. Then see the data of various districts in Jharkhand. You would find that there is no change in the demography here,” Soren said.
Following this statement from Jharkhand CM, BJP spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla said, “Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren calls nationalists and people elected by the public ‘chooha’. But he doesn’t say anything about the Bangladeshi infiltrators who enter Santhal Pargana and encroach on land, because this pertains to his vote bank.”
Poonawalla further attacked the INDIA bloc and stated that ‘one party of the INDI Alliance is targeting another party of the alliance’.
Reacting to Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren’s statement, Congress MP Pramod Tiwari said that he didn’t know in what context he said this.
“A Chief Minister will have his own experience for the state, I don’t know in what context he said this but he did not name anyone. He did not say anything to the organisation…only he can tell what he meant. I can only say that the way the Chief Minister was sent to jail, the way he was cornered, the way an attempt was made to weaken the organisation there, it is only the modus operandi of the RSS,” Tiwari said.
