Jammu (Jammu and Kashmir) [india], April 29 (ANI): Amid the political row over the Congress party’s “Gayab” graphic allegedly targeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi, RSS leader Indresh Kumar on Tuesday said that Congress leaders can digest their food only when they abuse the Prime Minister.
The RSS leader also claimed that the Congress party would oppose any possible military action, as tensions rise between India and Pakistan following the recent terror attack in Pahalgam.
On the Congress’s “Gayab” post, Kumar told ANI, “Congress leaders can digest their food only when they abuse the Prime Minister. If the army is going to fight, they will oppose the army commander. They will not do any good work in society but will defame those who do good work. This has become their political method, which is very condemnable.”
Several BJP leaders have also criticised the Congress, accusing it of indirectly supporting terrorist organisations.
BJP MP Nishikant Dubey accused the Congress of trying to “separate the head and body” of Prime Minister Modi and raised questions about the party’s alleged links with the group “Ghazwa-e-Hind”.
In an X post, Dubey shared a screenshot of the Congress’s post, which showed the word “GAYAB” written over an image of a kurta pyjama and black footwear. It was captioned, “Jimmedariyo ke Samay-Gayab” (Missing during the time of responsibility). Alongside it, he posted another image, allegedly shared by “Ghazwa al-Hind”, which included a quote about conquering India and a destroyed structure of Lord Shiva.
“Congress has been trying to separate the head and body of Honourable Prime Minister Modi for years. Now, the Congress party, tell us what your relation with the terrorist organisation Ghazwa al-Hind is? Is the same person tweeting on both?” Dubey wrote.
Haryana Minister Anil Vij also spoke on the matter, calling the Congress post “objectionable”.
“They have made a very objectionable tweet that hurts the heart of every Indian. This is the time to stand with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Every Indian should pledge that we are with Narendra Modi…” Vij said.
The controversy began after the Congress targeted the Prime Minister for not attending an all-party meeting held after the April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam, which killed 26 people.
Earlier in the day, BJP national spokesperson Pradeep Bhandari also hit out at the Congress, claiming that the party was working in coordination with Pakistan.
Speaking to ANI, Bhandari said the Congress post was quote-tweeted by a former minister of Pakistan, pointing to a possible connection between the two sides.
“The Congress party is taking its orders from Pakistan. The same tweet of the Congress party was quote-tweeted by the former minister of Pakistan. So today it has become clear before the country that a ‘jugalbandi’ is going on between Congress and the deep state of Pakistan,” Bhandari said.
He also said that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, India would give a strong response to any threat from Pakistan. (ANI)
