New Delhi [India], August 15 (ANI): Deputy Chairman Rajya Sabha Harivansh lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s speech from the Red Fort on 78th Independence Day on Thursday and said that today his whole speech was a call and a blueprint for a New India, Empowered India, and a Viksit Bharat by 2047.
Speaking to ANI in an exclusive interview Harivansh said that today’s speech of the Prime Minister was a call to build a strong India, a developed India. In his entire speech, the Prime Minister spoke about what should be the path of our duty and our goal and with what resolve we have to achieve a developed India by 2047. Our developed India path is made through tenacity, sacrifice, hard work. His whole speech was inspired by these things, Harivansh said.
Harivansh further told ANI that PM reminded what is the strength of India… He said that this is the country when terrorists used to come and attack here… the whole country used to feel insecure. When and in which area attacks would happened nobody knows and we all have seen that whether we were able to return home safely or not.. Today this is the same country where there have been no terrorist attacks in 10-11 years… Surgical strikes and air strike by entering the homes of the country which wants destroy India… India’s capability to carry out air strikes has been shown in the last 10 years…
“A natural calamity like Covid-19 which comes after 400 years, also came. How to turn this calamity into an opportunity will be remembered by our generations for 100 years. If the entire world is working towards dealing with it in the best possible way during the Covid-19 period, if anyone did it, India did it under the leadership of Narendra Modi ji… today India is going to become the third largest economy in the world… This is the power of India,” Harivansh added.
Deputy Chairman Rajya Sabha further told ANI that today the Prime Minister said very important things from the Historic Red Fort that the big investors of the world are eager to invest but he said that this is the responsibility of the states because the real power is with the states… law and order is with them… health is states’ subjects. The land is with the states. The real engine of development is the states. Centre will provide them all possible help. The Prime Minister also said from the Red Fort that states should compete for development and investment… States will have to be accountable then development will happen rapidly…
From the ramparts of Red Fort, PM Modi said, “For Viksit Bharat 2047, we invited suggestions from the countrymen. The many suggestions we received reflect the dreams and aspirations of our citizens. Some people suggested making India the skill capital, some others said that India should be made a manufacturing hub and the country must become self-reliant.
“Reforms in governance and justice system, creation of greenfield cities, capacity building, India’s own space station — these are the aspirations of the citizens….When the people of the nation have such big dreams, it takes our self-confidence to newer heights and we become more resolute,” PM said.
