Dehradun (Uttarakhand) [India], July 30 (ANI): Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Wednesday instructed the officials to take the public grievances raised by the MLAs with “utmost seriousness”.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami gave these instructions to the officers during the review of the Chief Minister’s announcements and other works of the assemblies falling under the Tehri Lok Sabha constituency at the Secretariat on Wednesday.
“The officers should take the public problems raised by the MLAs with utmost seriousness. The officers should constantly communicate with the MLAs to resolve various problems of the assembly constituencies. For the successful implementation of the announcements and other important schemes made under all the 70 assemblies of the state, the responsibility should be given to the officers of the Additional Secretary level to act as a bridge between the government administration and the assembly constituency,” CM Dhami instructed.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister directed the Chief Secretary that the various works going on in each assembly should also be reviewed at the Chief Secretary level. He said that the departmental secretaries should also regularly review their departments for the quick resolution of the problems of the assembly constituencies.
The Chief Minister himself will review the assemblies falling under each Lok Sabha constituency every three months. In the meeting, information about the action taken on the public problems raised by the MLAs related to their assembly should be made available to the concerned MLAs and the Chief Minister’s office within a week.
CM Dhami said that solving public problems is the top priority of the state government. It should be ensured that there is no unnecessary delay in work related to public interest.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister directed the officials to expedite all construction works after the monsoon. He asked all the MLAs to send proposals for works to be completed in the short, medium and long term in their assembly constituencies. The Chief Minister directed the officials to regularly monitor the ongoing schemes and complete them in a timely manner.
During the meeting, several MLAs raised issues related to the construction and widening of roads, health facilities, the solution to the problem of waterlogging, beautification works, water for irrigation, drainage and sewerage problems, embankment construction, the construction of drains and other problems. The Chief Minister directed the officials to resolve all the problems quickly.
It was informed in the meeting that out of 469 announcements made by Chief Minister Dhami under the Tehri Lok Sabha constituency, 305 announcements have been completed, and work on the remaining announcements is in progress. (ANI)
